For certain small cavities, Air Abrasion can mean NO needles and NO drills. It is a relatively new technology in dentistry. A high powered stream of air, with powder, cleans decay from small cavities on the chewing surfaces of back teeth, allowing a white filling to be bonded in place. Air abrasion permits ultraconservative tooth removal and leaves the remaining tooth structure sound, chemically clean and very bondable, also usually eliminates the need for numbing and/or needles. If you have any cavities that are good candidates for this procedure, we will certainly let you know.
High-Resolution Intra-Oral Camera
This Hi-Tech camera records your dental exam and provides full-color photographs and computer monitor displays of any dental problems. It is about the size of a pen. You can actually see your present dental status and have a complete, visual understanding of the suggested dental treatment.
Thanks to the unique clipped-corner design of the DEXIS™ sensor, patients will be more comfortable than when they are subjected to standard dental film-imaging techniques. DEXIS™ instant, digital X-ray images
Dr. Jones performs most of his dental procedures while wearing a pair of surgical telescopes. These telescopes give Dr. Jones the ability to be much more critical of his work allowing him to see details that would go unnoticed to the naked eye.
